Sport tourism

The most popular sports are football, basketball and handball. Sporting life takes place primarily through two sports associations, SD and SD Željezničar Bosnia. Both sports have sports sections of society in many sports. Among the large number of sports clubs in the city stand out football club Željeznicar and Sarajevo, handball club Željeznicar and Bosnia, the male basketball team to Bosnia, the European champion 1979th and women's handball club Željezničar.

The city hosted the Winter Olympics 1984th year.
